    ZH2 Track Day

This past summer, a week after my wife bought her 2022 ZH2, i decided to see what it could do on the track. Its a small 1.8km track with tight turns. Seeing as how i had very little seat time on the bike and the wife threatened me with death if i wreck her new bike, as well with a back injury, i had to take it really easy.

First session i did my out lap, came around turn 1 and opened it up 1/3 throttle and the front wheel shot right up. I then realized the Z's gearing is alot shorter then my H2 SX/SE. After a few laps of getting a little more comfortable i ended up dragging the kick stand on the ground which really caught me off guard and made me go wide. One of the instructors signalled me to slow down. After I came in i looked at the side stand and realised i bent the pin that holds the spring back pretty far. Another strike and that would snap off. Had a vendor set the suspension up and as much of you know, best way to adjust the preload on the rear shock is to remove it. Thankfully he was a pro and got the shock out, adjusted, back in, forks adjusted just in time to get out for the 2nd session. Throughout the day the insutrctor was giving me tips and wanted to ride the bike as its his dream bike. He told me not to worry about all the issues i was having throughout the day as the suspension on this bike sucks lol.

Got a little more comfortable but still taking easy.

1st gear took a hammering...Good runs, wait until you get her up to +250KM/h then try to stop/slow down LOL...I don't find the rear shock all that bad but it might have to do with personal weight, at 75Kg it seems fine for me without any adjustments...
