Riding Jeans

Afternoon all,
I am in the market for a new pair of riding jeans as my old ones are getting a bit old and they were just a cheap pair that I picked up in the middle section of Aldi.
Looking for a pair that has hip armour as well. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
J.R.

great windbreak (tested) and abrasion (untested thank god) protection, and I can go into stores and restaurants without feeling like a racer tool wannabe.

I am a Kevlar jean junkie and have had various types. The newest technology is the single layer type where the aramid fabric is interwoven to the cotton to give more comfort while still giving A or AA or AAA protection.
The Klim Fifty series is the older technology with a jean with 100% cotton with sawed in layers of Kevlar. The Dragin Jeans are like this. The Klim Forty series has the newer single layer technology, knee and hip pads are standard, I don't remember if they A or AA rated. Very comfortable, very nice. In Klim, the "taper" designation is for the leggins not the hip, the tapered ones are tapered towards the ankle.
