Pilot Road 6 or Diablo Rosso IV?

It’s time I replace the Rosso 3 tires on my ZH2. I got 3k out of the rear tire. I’m looking to upgrade and wanted your opinions on the Pilot 6 or the Rosso IV. Handling, tire life, etc. I’ve always ran Pilot Powers and Dunlop Q+ on my CBR, and loved those. So any input would be great! I ride aggressively in cooler mountain roads. I try to avoid rain as much as possible! The stock tires have been OK, for me they have been a bit unpredictable at times.

I currently run the Rosso 4 and have got extremely good mileage thus far and since last track outing in Nov 2022, these were brand new fitted and have so far done around 12000 Kms. I also do not ride in the rain so my 2 bobs worth...I have used Road 5 previously but not Road 6, however I have heard they are best in the wet and more grip than the 5's and gauging by my Road 5 experience I totally agree...

    1. Rosso 4 heat up very quickly, extremely grippy, harder wearing than Rosso 3...
    2. Michelin tires and can only speak of the 5's but the 6's review are even better, the only issue I had is they pick up a hell of a lot of stones due to the shape of the grooves and this is why I did not go back to Michelin...

    Hope this helps

Hey Zoommi, they are very durable, I got almost 17000Kms on my Z900 but then again this depends on the type of abuse you dish out  :001: ...

Thanks for the info guys! I’ve been stuck trying to decide between the 2. They both have really good reviews. I know the Pilot 6 would probably get the best mileage, they seem to be designed more for wet roads in mind. The Rosso IV is a better looking tire IMO, and not as expensive as the Pilot 6. I was a little concerned about the Rosso due to only getting 3k from the rear, and a bit sketchy in cold. It sounds like the Rosso IV is much improved in those areas.

    Great tyres zoommi,
They get the best mileage and excellent cold grip.  The Rosso 4 is a great tyre also but not as good at mileage. They both will overheat quickly when pushed hard. I removed the hero knobs and the limit of grip for me was 54 degrees, but was grinding the pegs razor sharp and also side stand and gear lever. I have now raised the pegs 25 mm along with gear lever adjustment and ground the side stand stop to allow the stand to tuck up higher. Fitted Rosso 4 Corsa which give phenomenal hot grip and still last 6000 km in the centre rear tyre. I can't believe how good the Corsa 4s are.
    Cheers
    Gibbsy.

Holy Crap!  :005: My max lean angle is currently 40/42  :019: Good to know you still got good mileage out of the Corsa’s I’ve been looking at those as well!
