Alternative Oil Filters
on: November 15, 2020, 06:59:55 PM
Hey all. I’ve got the OEM oil filter on order but it seems like they’re in somewhat short supply or backordered.

Has anyone had success using a good quality aftermarket filter such as hiflofiltro or wix?

I found this on the hiflo site, may give this one a go.

I was thinking the ZR1000 listed in the picture is a Z1000 which of course takes a different filter than our ZH 2's.

I think the bike code is correct.
Z H2 = ZR1000KLF(A) (different paint scheme or Cali spec?)
Z1000 = ZR1000GGF

I pulled these from Rocky Mountain’s microfiche.

You're absolute right! I just saw the ZR1000 and remember they used that with the Z1000 as shown on the bottom of the parts list.
I never looked at the letters following.  :431:
Thanks,
Dan
