Tom Tom Rider installation - what bracket ?
on: August 31, 2021, 06:36:10 PM
Just ordered a new Z H2. Is there a tomtom rider bracket that anyone recommends that fits ? it needs a ram-mount style ball that the satnav holder will clamp onto, on my ZZR1400 I used a stem mount which the satnav holder clamped onto but it doesn't look like that's an option for the Z H2 as it's covered over by the TFT display. Thanks

I've been trying to find a Sat nav bracket as well for a garmin but I've had no luck as of yet.

Yeah I donít think stem mount an option in these. I replaced my mirrors with bar end hindsight mirrors, and just put the ram ball that screws into the mirror threads on to mount my phone holder works very well

Hereís what Iím going to try as I have most of these parts already, a RAM tough claw medium which clamps to the handlebars giving a 1inch ball, a long socket arm which clamps both the touch claw ball and the ball attached to the tomtom mount. If you have a garmin holder with a 1inch ball then you can do the same.

My original idea was to get a clamp and a long arm but itís going to be a bit big, so Iíve also ordered a pair of bar end mirrors and a M10 Ram mount base ball that will screw into the mirror threads, will look a lot better, cheers

would be good to know if this works and is there any chance you can post picture of this option, bat end mirrors seem to be a great idea.

Great thank you, my end mirrors are different but I have the same RAM ball with a small RAM arm that connects the TomTom holder to the RAM ball, cheers

I think you have to get bar end mirrors, I got mine shipped to the uk from motea.com, and a RAM M10 1.25 mount which screws into the stock mirror thread. Itís all going to be fitted at 1st service, picked bike up today
