Has anyone put BST carbon wheels on their bike? How much difference did you feel? Do you think they were worth it?

:762: Good question. I’m seriously thinking about getting a set of the gloss green with the ceramic bearings once my current tyres wear out.

:187: What’s there to be scared of? Stronger and lighter than alloy rims. Better braking, faster acceleration. Less rotating mass. ???

I've had both zh2 and zh2se,and there are huge differences between these two!

But if you try the BST carbon wheel, you will have a third bike.

    I promise

Did you weigh the factory rims vs the BST rims? I really want to know the weight savings

Years ago while following my buddy riding his Ducati 848, I watched his rear CF wheel come apart. Probably a one-off but that image puts me off CF wheels.

CF wheels start cracking after a while, depending on age and fatigue.
They steer lighter and sharper, improve driving behaviour indeed, so track use is fine.
But CF wheels is like CF helmets, they have a limited lifespan, dated for safe use.
BMW have CF wheels as an option in their s1000rr catalogue since a few years, there are numerous accounts of cracked CF wheels, but BMW refuses warranty.....
I'd put my money on forged rims, if wanted more performance than cast rims.
Forged are stronger than cast, more load and lifetime durable, more corrosion resistant, and give better performance.
