What size socket for chain adjustment?

I'm a bit confused as to which size socket for the ability to adjust the chain. A parts diagram says I need a 24 mm but I read on here from an older post that you need a 32 mm.

Not at home right now to check and I won't be till tonight. I'd like to go to the store and buy a socket but I don't know which one to get. I don't have either so I need at least one of those. Can anyone help?
