I remember reading that when racing teams settle into the best ratios for the final drive they are more likely to change the gearing in the transmission. The only problem I see with going down to a 16 up front would be if the diameter is too small for the chain. But if it fits and doesn't bind, than you get a little weight savings. Then again, would smaller gears survive the power that this bike produces? Yes, there are a lot of questions.

Have a 44 tooth on mine, the bike pulls just fine. Say I want to pass someone, if there is a bit of room I will just leave it in 6th gear, pass just fine. If the room available is less, I will drop it down into 5th or maybe 4th and get there quicker! But, I have never gotten to max speed. Quit @ 150 mph and still had plenty left to go, but dang that felt fast.

I believe the cams are different. That way we can experience the boost a little sooner.

I agree with smoothing things out at lower RPM and slower speeds. Also, bike feels more relaxed at freeway speeds. Still can ride like a hooligan if you want, but now it isn't always manic, just when you want it.

Can anyone link to some FRONT Brake Pads in the USA?  Will any Brembo M4 pads work? Thanks
